For: ctwiebe@pacbell.net (Linda Y. Dicken) Sorry this took so long - not all the "occupants" are in the index, so had to go through book page by page (didn't realize the cemetery was that crowded <G>). <A.E. Orwick listed. It was actually his wife "Caroline". Her birthdate is on the grave> Again, not in the index. Found Karen Aarwick, b 1843, died Racine Township, 29 May 1879. Plot #94 - 7 rows south of church's SW corner. In that same plot is Caroline Dalen, died of diphtheria, 2 Dec 1894, buried 4 Dec 1894. There is listed an Elise Randine Dalen, b 1835, d 1 July 1905 at Bear Creek, of cancer, buried 3 July 1905, and A.G.Dalen, b 1852, d 1 Oct 1920 at Bear Creek, "droped dead at work", buried 4 Oct 1920. Also listed: Gilbert Cornelius Dalen, b 1878, d 12 Jun 1878 in Clayton Township, no cause of death, buried 23 Nov 1878. Bertha Cornelia Dalen, b 1879, died in Clayton Township, no other notation. These four are in Plot # 28, which would be on the far east side of the cemetery, about the second row. There are a few other Dalen's but didn't know if you were interested in that side of the family or not (or if they're even related). Let me know. She is not listed in the index. I did find Anne, wife of Bertl O. Axness, no dob, died in Bear Creek, 2 July 1876. She is in plot 53, which is 2 rows east, 3 rows south of the SE corner of the church. Also found: Lars O. Axness, b 1841, d 23 Dec 1931, Grand Meadow, plot 186; Bernhard Axness, d 25 Dec 1894 Bear Creek, plot 186; Christine Axness, b 1847, d 21 Mar 1931, Grand Meadow, plot 186 (this is 2 rows west of center driveway, and 2nd row from road). Assume these are relatives of some sort or at least from same area of Norway... I will be trying to get out to the cemetery next week and will take a look at the actual markers for you, see what's of interest there. Hope this is of some help. Star O
