Hi, Betty and list... My ggggrandparents were Christopher Knudson Sore Lie b 13 Feb 1820 Gaarden Braaten, Sondre Lie, Valders. Married 1840 Valders to Kari Knudsdtr. Neer Espelien, b 22 Apr 1781 (I doubt that date is correct, but it is what my grandfather has written...) Daughter Carun Christophersdtr b 4 Oct 1847 in Valders. Emigrated to Minnesota in early to mid 1850's. Could you tell me what the "Sore Lie" and the "Neer Espelien" mean? I am assuming Gaarden Braaten is the farm name? Thanks a lot. Alexa Jones
