Willis was on the 1790 and 1799 Tax Lists in Isle of Wight Co., VA along with Wiley, George, Jesse and Sarah LANKFORD. His son Elias was also on the 1790 taxlist but had moved to Northampton Co., NC by 1799. I would be interested in comparing notes on LANKFORDS in that county in the 1700's with you.
