Please keep in mind folks that Isle of Wight County was split up a bit over the years. I have found records for families I am researching with some records in IOW, some in Surry, some in Sussex and some in Brunswick Co.'s. For me the Three Creek and Nottoway River area was important -- it was once all in IOW but ended up in Brunswick and Surry. One place to find out of print information is TLC genealogy -- www.tlcgenealogy.com. I have not purchased anything from them yet but have seen a reconstructed census of 1740 VA that they put together at our library's genealogy dept. -- very good source of info.
