March 03, 1746/47 in Brunswick Co., VA. m. Eleanor Collins b. 1680 in Isle of Wight, VA (see below); d. 1750 in Brunswick Co., VA. Collins: -------- John Collins b. 1590 in Kent, England; d. July 15, 1686 in Essex Co., VA. m. Margaret Weeks (or Wykes), b. 1595 in ?; d. ? in Isle of Wight, VA. Children: (1) William Collins (no other information given) m. Ann Wilde. Children: (1) John Collins b. 1660 in ?; d. ? in Isle of Wight, VA. m. Eleanor Oliver, b. 1665 in Isle of Wight, VA, d. ? Children: (1) Eleanor Collins b. 1680 in Isle of Wight, VA (see below); d. 1750 in Brunswick Co., VA. m. William DeLoach (above).     3. The name OLIVER is an old name in the Virginia Beach area......which was originally Princess Anne County so you might want to look around there. In the early part of the 20th century there was an old dairy farm owned for generations by the OLIVER family....it was in the old county of Princess Anne (now VA BEACH). She married Aurelius Powhatan Bohannan of Surry County. They are both buried in Oakland Cemetery Surry County, Virginia. I have a letter that she wrote to her father that she signed Victoriana Newton Deal. I believe she was the daughter of James Hundley Deal b. 1816 in Mathews Co., VA and Elizabeth Wilson b.1809 in Surry Co., VA. Notes left by my great grandfather mention an Uncle Tommie Newton that was somehow related to the Deals. Any information on any of these people would be appreciated.

They eventually moved on to Draper's Valley, Va. He disappeared and was presumed to be taken by indians. His grand daughter Mary Ingles was abducted by Shwanees. I' interested in establishing the original locaton of Pattonsbug. I think there is a possibility that the present day Smithfield was originally Pattonsbug. Please Help as I plan to visit my daughter in Yorktown and would like to visit the area where Pattonsbug was founded
