I have learned that apparently Thomas connects to the Jeremiah Vail line. << Not apparently. He is very definitely in the Jeremiah line. >>I have compiled from various means an ftw which has a son, Israel Everett Vail (son of Thomas Hubbard Vail), who was b. in 1832, died after 1902. What I need to figure out, just because it is a challenge (and I said that I would see what I could find out for my friend who has not been around her Vails in years. She has been in California for many years.); is the lines down from Thomas, which may probably lead to Milbur [Wilbur?] Milton Vail, Alonzo Delmar Vail, and Elfreida Vail plus a few more siblings. I have a down line from that. >> Rev. Thomas Hubbard Vail had 3 sons capable of producing heirs: Thomas Christopher Vail, d. 14 Dec 1900. No children. Israel Everett Vail. See above. Rogers Kinnicutt Vail, b. 1 Jun 1847 at Westerly, RI; d. 26 Dept 1879 in Topeka, KS. The above information is taken from the Jeremiah genealogy. BTW, there are no listings for Milbur [Wilbur?] Milton Vail, Alonzo Delmar Vail, and Elfreida Vail in any of the 3 genealogies. Steve Vail

    3. Hi Steve, Thanks for the information. Well the information helped me to narrow things down a little more, as to who the parents aren't of Alonzo, Wilbur and Elfreida (and a couple more siblings). Of course I know that Rev. Thomas H. Hubbard Vail is a descendent of the Jeremiah line. :-) I think when I say "apparently", what I am really saying is that I personally can not vouch for that, because I have not personally documented that....it is all in semantics....:-) If the Rev. had three children and Thomas and Israel never had children, and Rogers K. Vail d. in 1879, then they can't be the parents of the "children" that I am looking for. You did not say if he had children. Alonzo, Wilbur, and Elfredo and their other siblings were b. about 1870-abt. 1895, so it is unlikely that this is the right track to trace. Maybe siblings of Thomas Hubbard Vail who might have gone to Topeka area with him....I know they probably won't be in the Jeremiah Genealogy that you have. They are too late. My friend Dana descends from Wilbur Vail, and she does not have anything before the family b. about 1870-1895. I guess maybe a Ks census for the area in maybe the time frame, might be of help, but I don't have access to that, and if it isn't on a disk...as far as census records go, I am dumbfounded, though I know the general procedure to do it. I know how to work fiche readers...does that age me? I even have one in storage. :-) Thank you for your help. Joyce in CA http://www.geocities.com/jarmscoop
