Miss Ellen Vail, one of our oldest inhabitants, being 82 years less one day, was buried at Bethel Cemetery last Sabbath; Quite a large number of her friends, relations and acquaintances were in attendance. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. William E. Tomkinson (of the M. E. Church, of which the deceased was a member for the past 50 years or more) assisted by Rev. L. L. Caton, of the Presbyterian Church. Saturday, March 15, 1884 Orphans' Court. The Orphans' Court of Cecil county was in session on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Present Hon. James McCauley, chief judge; Hon. David P. Davis and Hon. James M. Evans, associate judges. Sundry claims against deceased persons were duly examined and passed.
