Otherwise, how did Jeremiah b. 1785 have a son b. 1710? In any case, this is Jeremiah(3), grandson of Jeremiah(1). Some of us think that it was he who went to NC and founded the NC line of Vails. >>They have a son Jeremiah b. 1710 m. to Elizabeth Young, who has a child Thomas m. to Hannah [Brown].<< This would be Jeremiah(4) Vail, presumably son of the Jeremiah(3) who went to NC. However, the matter of Jeremiah(3)'s children is very much open to question. <<Another tree has a Jeremiah Vail in N.C.>> Several, to be sure. >>Another one has Thomas Vail with wife Sarah [Wentworth] and a child of Samuel.<< This is Thomas(1). >>Additionally there is Isrial Vail with wife Mary Rodgers, four generations, including a Moses. I recall someone asking about Moses...maybe several queries about a Moses. >> The original Moses was a grandson of Thomas(1) and the subject of William Penn Vail's second genealogy. Steve Vail

    3. Hello David and Researchers, The easiest thing to tell you about the Ohio Marriages on the cd which covers Illinois, Indiana, KY, Ohio, and TN is that it covers 39 counties in Ohio from 1720-1926. I must admit that it does not seem all inclusive of people who should be in there. I find that true of other cds as well. Let me know if you want a lookup. 3. Hello David and Researchers, Early Ohio Settlers cd includes dates from 1700-1900. The main contents are: Memoirs of the Early Pioneer Settlers of Ohio Ohio Co. KY in the Olden Days Ohio Valley Genealogies Ohio Marriages Ohio Cem. Records Ohio Source Records Roster of Ohio Soldiers in the War of 1812 Within these "books", are many other lists. Source Records has an article about the Organization of the Counties and early settlements; Quaker Settlement of Ohio, Brief History of Reynoldsburg, Franklin Co.; Historical Notes, Mifflin and Plain Townships, St. John's Church, Worthington, Newspaper Notices, Columbiana Co., Newspaper items fro Ohio Gazette, Delaware, Newspaper Notices from Jefferson Co, Fairfield Co, Lancaster, Warren Co., Lebanon, Muskingum Co, Belmont Co. etc. Tax List fo 1810 for Adams, Athens, Belmont, Butler, Champaign Co., Clermont Co., Clinton, Columbiano Co., Cuyahoga, Delaware Co., Fairfield Co., Fayette Co. Frankline, Gallia, Geauga Co. Green Co. Guernsey Co. Hamilton Marriage Records and Wills Franklin Co. There are Cem. records for some of the same and different counties. Many Bible records, including Samuel Hagler/Harlow, Beryhill-Clark, Hannum, McGown/McMaster, Patterson, Innis, Miller/Cummings/Menday/Pearce, Lakin/Hetzer, Haessley/Ross, Springer/Stedham I think you get the idea. The list of items is very long. If you want me to look for something special, Let me know. I guess that is the best way..... I believe that this cd will be like the Long Island one, and it will probably not allow copying a little of the page. Instead I will have to copy it as a whole page, and that may be impossible to put to list. I will have to send it by attachment file, probably. No problem for me.... 3. Hello Researchers, I got a couple more cds lately. On Disk 1 of the WFTs for the Family Tree CDS, (now genealogy.com), I find these listed. Of course, one should always take these with suspician; but they can be used as a guide. If you would like for me to send you a gedcom, ftm, doc report or whatever, let me know. There is a Jeremiah Vail b. abt. 1785 m. to Mary They have a son Jeremiah b. 1710 m. to Elizabeth Young, who has a child Thomas m. to Hannah. Another tree has a Jeremiah Vail in N.C. Another one has Thomas Vail with wife Sarah and a child of Samuel. Additionally there is Isrial Vail with wife Mary Rodgers, four generations, including a Moses. I recall someone asking about Moses...maybe several queries about a Moses. Happy Hunting, Joyce in CA http://www.geocities.com/jarmscoop
