My husband and I searched the graveyard area that I spoke of in my earlier post on Mountain Road that has the graves of the Fords and Goddins and it was so overgrown that we couldn't get in and see if any headstones are still standing or have fallen over. I contacted the Henrico County Historical Society and they were very kind and interested. They sent a surveyor and a couple of historians over to the location and they too were unable to get through the tangle of undergrowth. They did mark the spot and sent the information to the County and the graveyard will be listed on the deed and that area will not be built upon unless the graves are removed. What a blessing! I have no Ford family information- except that my 4 times great-grandmother- Roxanna Goddin's maiden name was Ford. If you think I can help you with any research let me know! All the best.
