    3. there are records of the land bounties paid to Rev. War veterans, sometimes with other nuggets of information, the Library of Va. has copies online. Veterans with the Continental army were eligible for land bounties in Ky. or Ohio- those with state militias were not. To claim them, the veteran had to produce his discharge paper, and/or other information from former commanders, army mates, etc. And he had to have served at least 3 years in the Cont. army.
