We’ve just started a Gibbs Surname DNA Project using the services of FamilyTree. The projects goal is to help Gibbs genealogists test long held theories and family traditions. By determining which lines are related we will be able to validate existing research, and identify where we should invest our time. Finally it will allow descendants of the Gibbs who left Europe to identify cousins whose ancestors remained behind. It is important to have one or two participants from as many Gibbs lines as possible.
