Hello List members, I'm still searching for any info on my African-America paternal grandparents, Lucinda Averett Morton and Ernest Morton. My father, Charles Edward Morton was born to them on December 9, 1909 in Richmond, VA. Lucinda was reportedly half Choctaw (no confirmation there yet) and lived in an area of Richmond called Church Hill. I have been unable to find them via census records from that period, am hoping someone has a directory from that time period or other info. They are my most elusive family members, and definitely a tough brick wall! All help and info appreciated, Dianne M.
