I am wondering why you think Wm.(who m. Betheniah) is son of John and Philarte I have found no evidence that this is true and the dates don't seem to fit. I believe (but cannot prove) that Mary Broadnax was married to the Cap't and not to the Rev. I am very interested in information on Wm. and Bethaniah, especially through their sons William and Nicholas. Son John and daughter Mary's descendants are pretty well agreed upon.
