Does anyone know if the Garretts and the Andrews (descendants of Thomas Andrews) intermarried? I have William Andrews, who married Avis. Some say that she was Avis Garnett, but a few years ago several people worked on that, and decided that it was most likely incorrect. Avis Garnett lived a long way from the Henrico/Chesterfield Co. area, in Essex Co., and married "Mark" Andrews. Is it possible that the Avis who married our William Andrews was a Garrett instead? I know that Thomas Andrews lived near Wm. Garrat, as seen in this from his will: Item: I give and bequeath to my son Richard Andrews one hundred acres of Land more or less where he now liveth beginning at a corner that was formerly Wm. Garrat's line, then to a corner black oak by the Road to him the said Richard his Heirs and assigns forever. Just thought I'd see if you had any thoughts about this.
