I know that Godfrey Ragsdale (b circa1615, d in massacre 1644) was the first Ragsdale in my line found in the United States, but I do not have very much information about him. Does anybody have any information on this family? I have found some land deeds for this family, but, as I am not from that area, I do not know very much of the places. The deeds mention land south of the James River, north of the Appomatox, near the Old Indian Town, and a plantation called "Old Town." It also mentions a Condict(Cundict, Convict) Creek and a Convict(sp??) Field. Do you know any of these places? I would like to have a small idea of where the Ragsdale plantation/farm was. Thanks
