Nancy, If I remember correctly, there was a 1644 Indian Massacre at Peircys Hundred. A Robert Ligon was visiting John Woodson at Piercys Hundred when the inncident took place. John Woodson was killed. Can anyone confirm this story? We aren't aware of any listing of the deaths from the 1644 massacre- they were two different events.
