Patti, Just wondering if there's a Will listed for a William STRATTON.... brother to Thomas STRATTON, sons of Edward STRATTON III m. Anne BATTE. William died shortly before 1781... and that's why I'm wondering, if his Will would have made it into that Index, or the prior one... I descend from his daughter Sarah STRATTON, 3rd wife of Samuel RICE. Sarah moved over to Cumberland Co. VA about the time she married Sam and then in early 1779, they sold their 133 ac there to move out to Lincoln Co. VA [now KY]. The earliest spellings of this name are both STRACHAN and STRATTON. Many thanks, Lisa Grimes [email protected] ______________________________
