    2. Researching Huguenots in VA..........Other than having or discovering a direct ancestor with a distinct name, how does an amateur discover that someone in their line was actually huguenot?.......does a naturalization document establish that........ thanks..... -----Original Message----- From: tabearc.bandit@verizon.net To: vahenric@rootsweb.com Sent: Sun, 1 Oct 2006 11:14 AM Subject: Re: [VAHENRIC] St. Mary's Episcopal Church Cemetery My family name is Pritchett and they were in Henrico in 1685. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WBC.2ACI/2900 Message Board Post: Hi All! I am working on a research project about the people who are buried at St. Marys. I have multiple lists of the names of people buried there, as well as many photographs of headstones. If you have any family members buried in this cemetery, I'd love to get in touch with you. I am gathering family stories, pictures, etc. Once completed, I will send a copy to St. Mary's, so anyone researching in the future will have the resource. Thanks for your help! 3. Google it, there are several societies for descendants of French Huguenots. They list recognized names. The Huguenots came over far earlier than there were any "naturalization" documents- mostly in the early 1700s, but some later and a few in the 1600s. You have to find who you are descended from. nancy ------- I was never lost, but I was bewildered once for three days. --Daniel Boone On Oct 1, 2006, at 1:26 PM, hwood5817@aol.com wrote: > Researching Huguenots in VA..........Other than having or > discovering a direct ancestor with a distinct name, how does an > amateur discover that someone in their line was actually > huguenot?.......does a naturalization document establish > that........ thanks..... > > > -----Original Message----- > From: tabearc.bandit@verizon.net > To: vahenric@rootsweb.com > Sent: Sun, 1 Oct 2006 11:14 AM > Subject: Re: [VAHENRIC] St. Mary's Episcopal Church Cemetery > > > My family name is Pritchett and they were in Henrico in 1685.
