    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WBC.2ACI/2886 Message Board Post: Does any one know of a connection of any kind with the whitlow and moseley families? The whitlows were in henrico and halifax counties fron 1700 to around 1850, and in 1819 Nicholas Whitlow (b7-13-1754 HENRICO CO D 1837) used Mosely as the middle name for his son and it remained a tradition with this particular branch through the next 4 generations. Any info would be most appreciated! Christie

Look at this PDF file: http://www.lva.lib.va.us/whatwehave//bio/African_American_Churches.pdf Be sure to copy and paste both lines into your browser window. Under Baptist denominations, you will find references to search for baptisms, etc. Other info also. Hope this helps. I am still on dialup so it took a few minutes to download this 8 page paper. m.a.

My Edward BASS, born c1770-80 (as per1820/30 Fluvanna Co census) was in Fluvanna Co. VA by 1818. Wife appears as Lily in deeds. Known children were Susan c1805 and Sarah 1817. Prob. had son or brother Archer/Arch. who was witness at Susan's marriage in 1827. After 1830, no trace of Edward or Lily. Does he fit into the Henrico/Chesterfield families? Could he have been the Edward b 1776 to John BASS & Tabitha HATCHER? Any leads appreciated.

I really do feel stupid for asking for such a recent obit when Henrico has so much wonderful history! James Marvin Wells was my grandfather's older brother and they hated each other and I have no idea why. James Marvin took off and the only think I know about him is that his wife's name may have been Ruth. I'd really like to know if they had children because I'd like to contact them.
