He was a rope maker in the ship yards in Henrico County. His son Ralph was a cabinet maker who eventually settled in Botetourt Cty Va. I am looking for any information about grgrgrrandfather Henderson. He may have had two daughters,Mary and Jane Gray Henderson. His wife died crossing the Atlantic.

If any of you notice a possible marriage in Henrico/Chesterfield Co, or even Dinwiddie, between an Andrews and a Garrett, please let me know. When I first read your email tonight it just made me wonder if the name should have been Avis "Garrett" rather than "Garnett." It is just something to think about, and with the difficulty in reading old records at times, it might have been mistaken years ago. If something looks promising, please let me know. Thomas Andrews died in Henrico Co. in 1731. A long way from Essex Co. Plus, there is evidence over in Essex Co. that Avis Garnett married Mark Andrews, not William Andrews.
