Joseph moved to Richmond from Ohio possibly as early as the 1920's, and, according to Social Security records, died October 1966 at about 90 years old. 1. Re: [VAHENRIC] Rev.Lowndes W. CURTIS-Death index
    2. Was he still living in 1930? If so, check the 1930 census. Volunteers are indexing the VA death records but are doing the earlier records first. You can order death certificates from the state Division of Vital Records. There is a fee even if they don't find anything. I would suggest searching the Library of VA site, especially their digital library to see what's available. www.lva.lib.va.us Also, the Richmond city directories are available on microfilm. Have you checked the Presbyterians? I think the library at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond has genealogical info in their archives but I could be wrong. If you find a death date, then try the Richmond Times-Dispatch or Richmond News Leader for an obituary. Both are available on microfilm. Good luck in your search.
