The couple soon moved to Cumberland County and Sarah apparently died there in the early 1850s at approximately 75-80 years of age. Though I know a good deal about her after she arrived in Cumberland, I have been completely unable to trace her family backward (she was old enough at the time of her marriage to sign for herself so no father is listed on the marriage documents). She may have been the daughter of Sim(e)on Peck of Manchester but I know of no proof of that. Can anyone help?

In Colonial Wills of Virginia, Pt. 2, the year given for William Taylor's inventory is 1754. David was old enough to choose his guardian (James Woodfin) at the May Court in 1755, so I think he would be too old to be the David you're looking for in the 1850's. The sheet was made by me about 20 years ago when i was doing reaearch at the local Morman Church Libtaty. But I have never been able to connect him to our family. During my research someone nr New Orleans told about another group of Gravats who arrived later in that area who were of a different ancestor, I have nothing written down on this source, But now that the records are possibly more easilly obtainable we may be able to find out about the Gravitt Family prior to 1623. Hello, Per a PRICHARTT family Bible just received,  a young  Sarah Jones PRITCHARTT born December 27, 1844 in Fairfax and died in Richmond Va November 1863.  I would very much like to find her place of burial.  Suspect Hollywood Cemetery, however any reference to name Pritchard,Pritchett,Pritchard gratefully accepted. Sarah Jones PRITCHARTT also had a brother named Alexander Thomas PRITCHARTT b. 2nd Oct 1837 and died per Bible Louisa County Virginia January 19, 1863.  He was formerly an agent for the Manassas Railroad, but may be the same Thomas Pritchard who died during Civil War listed as  missing in Petersburg Va in December 1862.   Any information on the above burials welcome. Hi listers! Does anyone have access to an index to the city of Richmond for 1870? I can look at an index for the rest of Virginia here, but cannot look up anyone who lives in the city. I have tried to look page by page on the film, but it is just too faint. I am looking for a George Duncan, who was born in Scotland, and should be 24 years old. These facts are listed as part of the index for the rest of the state, so I do not know if that will help. At this stage, I do not if he may have come to America with other Duncans, so if there is no George listed, I would like to know any other Duncan, born in Scotland. Thank you for any help. Jaime
