Write and ask who notified them of each death. See 'ancestry.com'. Become a member of 'ancestry', and you can check the 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses for them from your home. Also go to 'www.vitalrec.com/. You can get a copy of their marriage and death certificates. Remember ANY question you might have can be answered on 'google.com'.

Go to 'google.com' and type in James Elliott Trible. Both James & his wife Inez Trible are listed as deceased on the Social Security Death Index. If you do not find an obituary on 'google', write the newspaper for an obituary for James since his death occurred in 1997 and should still be on file (microfilm). Take the same steps for Inez Trible, even though she died in 1977 (per 'ancestry.com'). Let us know how takes turn out.

As far as I know, I am not related to a Mayo. However, I am researching a Thomas O'Brissell whose will of 1698 had a witness named Valentine Mayo. Mayo's 1702 land patent in Middlesex Co was adjacent to the land of Thomas Obrissell, dec'd. Obrissell's wife was named Ann _________. Just wondered if there was any connection. Hi, Still looking to reach other researchers that may be connected with the Mayo family- Thanks, Nancy [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, September 18, 2002 7:11 AM Subject: VAHENRIC-D Digest V02 #178

Jaime, Do you have any idea when they married? Virginia marriages from 1853 to 1896 are indexed by both bride and groom and on microfilm. The indexes are in 10 yr. segments. Once you find your bride and groom in the index you go to the county or city register, also on microfilm. The Library of VA has these records on microfilm and other places like the Family History Centers may have them also. The Walters family was originally from England, but I see them in the census here before the Civil War. George Duncan was born in Scotland, but I have not seen him on the census until after the war, but I think they must have married in or around Richmond, since it was the bride's place of residence. I do not know to what church they belonged, since this branch later married into the Baptists, who then prevailed. >>
Hello list! Does anyone have any information regarding the marriage of John S. Walter's daughter Mary to George Duncan? I do not know to what church they belonged, since this branch later married into the Baptists, who then prevailed. Thank you so much, Jaime
Can someone direct me to a site on the Internet where I can read about the general features of the Curles of the James River? I have read something once, but cannot remember where. Thank you very much. Mary Miller

My records show that Joseph Royall was granted 300 acres of land 1637-1640- in Henrico Co. Virginia,on the Southeast side of Turkey Island Creek, running into the woods, N. E. to mouth of the creek, S. W. I am interested in the "Dogham" plantation, or house that was in the Royall family from 1700 until 1928 when it was sold to a James Harrison and then used as a horse farm. I would like to see a picture of this house. I am hoping someone can help me with this and I thank you for your time in advance. Eva
