Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WBC.2ACI/2455.1.1.1 Message Board Post: No, but I have been visiting the VAGenWeb site often when I am working on my Fleming, Cleveland, Taylor, or Whitaker lines. On the VAGenWeb.com site home page, page down to "Early Beginnings? There are two parts to it. Both are good. Also the counties separately. Henrico was one of the earliest. Lots about the Bollings, Randolphs, Sometimes you have to read your way through some of this stuff. Many people just don't get the fact that when you go back to the colonial times the people they are looking for ARE the history. They are walking over genealogical dollars to save genealogical dimes. In other words, they don't take time to enjoy the journey, when by doing so they will better understand those they are looking for to begin with. It was a very small world in those days, and there were clusters of progress and the same people doing the most for the community - (gee, some things never change do they?) You should also check out Revolutionary period military history. The name rings a bell with me, but can't remember from where.
