I also found some dates listed in social security death lists which are for people who lived in Richmond, whose birthdays seem to match some of the people in the census records: Henry Waldbauer - Born 25 Oct 1893, died Feb 1976 (Elsie's husband) Walter A. Waldbauer - born 12 Nov 1916, Died 8 Jan 1991(her son) Robert Waldbauer - born 24 May 1922, Died Jun 1981 (could be Christine's son since her husband was Robert Waldbauer) I also found a note which was put on the Klein message board by Ruth Price-Waldbauer about Elsie N. Klein, which said she was born 7 Jul 1896. Her spouse was Henry Lear Waldbauer. They were married 27 Oct 1915 in Richmond, VA. She said she was researching for info. on her family (siblings, parents, and her children). I also found Christine, daughter of Walter P. Klein and Paulina Frick in the 1930 census, ED 117, page 54B, with a different husband. I'm sure it is her because she is listed with her son Robert Waldbauer: Waddell, Samuel P. Jr., 12,000 (property value), age 44, married at 43, born VA Christine, wife, born VA, age 29, married at 28 (so they had only been married a year) Samuel P. Waddell III, son, age 8, VA (obviously his son from a previous marriage) Robert Waldbauer, step-son, age 7, born VA Henry L. Walbauer and Elsie are listed in the 1930 census in Richmond also, Dist. 117, living on Franklin Street : Waldbauer, Henry L., 15,000, 37, first married when 22, born VA, father born Germany, mother born VA, asst. buyer at Drug Co. Elsie, wife, 39, first married at age 19, born VA, father born Germany, mother born VA (mistake obviously) Walter, son, 13, born VA Henry L. Jr., 10, born VA William C., 1 year & 2/12 months, born VA Pattie

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WBC.2ACI/2477.1.2.1 Message Board Post: Siegbert, I found them in the 1880 census also in Brookland, Henrico Co., VA. The birthplace was listed as Prussia, but it is them: Theodore Frick, 49, born Prussia, Butcher Christina Frick, 53, born Prussia Elizabeth Frick, daughter, single, 17, born Virginia, parents born Prussia Elvina Frick, 14, born Virginia, parents born Prussia Paulina Frick, 7, born Virginia, parents born Prussia. I also found Christine in the 1900 census living with Paulina and her husband. This is probably her. She is listed in Richmond, Henrico Co., Virginia in ED 56, page 20A. Main Street is written on the side. They are listed as: Walter P. Klein, born Jan. 1870, age 30, born Virginia, parents born Germany Paulina Klein, born Dec 1870, age 29, born Virginia, parents born Germany Elsie N. Klein, born July 1896, age 3, born Virginia, parents born Virginia Cristina Frick, mother-in-law, born Sept. 1826, age 73, born Germany, parents born Germany The year of Cristina's immigration is listed on this census as 1851, and she had been in the U.S. 49 years. Walter P. Klein, her son-in-law, was listed as working for or owning a plumbing company (could not read that very well). Theodore must have died. I also found the Kleins in Richmond in the 1920 census without Christina (She must have died by then), ED 64, page 54. The mother of Walter P. Klein seems to be living below them, because Elsie is listed as living with her: Klein, Walter P., head, age 50, born Virginia, father born Marbury Germany, mother born Virginia? Klein, Pauline C., wife, age 47, born Virginia, father born Wurtemburg, Germany, mother born Germany Waldbauer, Christine W., daughter, born Virginia, age 19 Waldbauer, Robert O., son-in-law, age 23, born Virginia next household: Klein, Victoria?, head, age 76 Waldbauer, Elsie N., granddaughter, age 25 Waldbauer, Henry L., grandson-in-law, age 26 Waldbauer, Walter U.?, great grandson, age 3 1/2 Waldbauer, Henry L. Jr., great grandson So it looks like Theodore and Christina's daughter Paulina married Walter P. Klein and they had at least two children, Christine W. and Elsie N., who both married Waldbauers. I'll see if I can find anything else. Pattie
Oops! Sorry about the empty message. As for the Catholic Churches near Mt Calvary Cemetery, I would guess Sacred Heart Cathedral would have been the closest one. However, people from several other Catholic Churches would be buried there also. St. Patrick's in Church Hill or the old St. Mary's that was located on Marshall Street where old Bliley's was. Also St. Peter's on Grace Street would have been likely also. Hope that helps. Don't you now live in California? Didn't realize you were so close to where I lived in Henrico. I knew all the Cross's - Miss Annie - and played at the dairy farm. Got splattered one day by a cow who just had to splatter. I screamed and knew I would die or my foot would fall off for sure. I remember when I could ride my bike from my house to Scott Farm through one of the back fields - before I-95 was built. Then I-295 messed up Telegraph Road and Stone's Pasture where we would sleigh ride.

It was a dilapidated building during the Civil War and only used as land mark for all the forces crawling over that area. I have been looking for possible photographs of it, but have found none. I heard the Valentine Museum in Richmond had the only photograph, but that was bogus. My father called to check it out and received a very nice letter that they had no picture. If you are on Route 1 or Old Brook Turnpike (Road), the tavern was on the right just before Telegraph Road. It is about 1/4 to 1/2 a mile from the Parham Road - Route 1 intersection. There are several small places of businesses and then right at the place where Telegraph Road bears off are some old large trees over to the right. The Tavern was in there. I've always been suprised no one went in to check for foundations. I fear it's been balck topped over now. The actual spot where Stuart was wounded is about 1 and 1/2 up Telegraph R! oad. When I was child we rode our bicycles to his monument all the time. Now I-295 has cut Telegraph Road in two and you can no longer access the Mounument unless you stay on Route 1. This area is rich with history. My father used to pick up all sorts of mini balls, mule and horse shoes back in the 1950's when he was putting his garden in.
