"J. W. Ballard was born January 25, 1859. He married Bettie Lane (Layne) Oct 5, 1882. He died Sept. 19, 1886--age 27 yrs, 8 months, 4 days." "Rosie N. Ballard was born 4-4-1884. George W. Ballard was born Aug 13, 1886 and died June 22, 1887--age 10 months 9 days." If this ties into your work, please let me know. I have not been able to find the parents of J. W.
