Herman road down from the church. It is located on property now owned by the Garlic family. There are a number of graves there. Most are unmarked. My grandmother told me that Marcelus Fielding, known as Felix and his wife Frances Ann, Fanny, Smith were buried there as well as Patrick Henry, Ann Jane, and many of their children. John Henry Perrin ran the family mill on that property. He is buried there also. Tom Jones
My PERRIN connection is Joseph PERRIN Jr. born ca. 1820 in Hanover, VA s/o Joseph PERRIN & Judith TYLER. Joseph Jr. was a miller Joseph PERRIN Jr.'s second wife was Mary A. GENTRY, They married on 07 Jan 1869 in Hanover at the home of the bridegroom. I believe Joseph may have had a daughter with his first wife named Mary Frances PERRIN born ca. 1862 in Hanover. She was married to a WOODDY; her exact relationship is not mentioned in the will of Joseph Jr. Joseph Jr. also mentions in his will, Mary E. PERRIN daughter of his brother Samuel. Joseph Jr. and second wife, Mary adopted a daughter named Cora Ann ALEXANDER born 19 Aug 1876 in Hanover. Her natural parents were a Sally ALEXANDER and a W.H. RICHARDSON. She was born out of wed lock. Cora Ann PERRIN was my maternal great grandmother and she was married to Oscar Bruce ATKINSON of Hanover, VA son of Robert Lewis ATKINSON and Mary Lewis GAYLE. Cora and her adoptive mother Mary A. GENTRY-PERRIN were living next to a Charles ALEXANDER b. Sept 1856 in the 1900 census. I believe he may have been a blood relative, perhaps an uncle. Possible mother for Cora in 1870 census: 1870 Beaverdam, Hanover Lower Revenue Dist.
