It is obvious to me that these are not complete rosters for this unit. I think that you would be better off requesting their records from the National Archives. But even that does not work all the time. I checked civilwardata.com for the names and there were 5 Wm. Pettus in VA regs. and 3 Harvey Jones. This does not give their regiment so I am not sure that I can help you any more than that. Do try to get their records---they are fascinting sometimes.
