Now let's see if I can help you. I believe that 13 year old Edmonia E. Thacker was living with her aunt at that time. (I don't know why.) In the 1900 Hanover Census, the George W. and Edmonia E. Lane household shows 86 year old, widowed Mattie Mallory. She is listed as an aunt with no children. Her age would match what was listed on the census when 13 year old Edmonia was in the household. (Mattie would be an affectionate form of Martha.) I can't tell you anything about 14 year old Albert, but the Lanes and Thackers appear to be a very tight-knit group. In the 1900 census there is also a 26 year old, widowed grandson, M. William Lam. Another question arises! Happy Hunting!
