    2. Karyn, The only info I've found is in the Index 1810 Virginia Census, listed in Hanover, there was a John Askue listed as Head of Household. In the 1850 Hanover County, VA 1850 U.S. Census there is the following info: Enumeration 24 Oct 1850- Family Number 529-page 79 Alfred Askew 22 M Overseer living with Paulina Simms (40F), James A. Chewning (17M), and several other Simms children. Enumeration 25 Oct 1850-Family Number 546-page 82 Askew, Robert 65 M Laborer $200 Value of real estate Nannie 55 F John 33 M Laborer Joseph 31 M Laborer Hope this lil' bit of info helps!
