    3. I was in Louisa County, VA last Sept. and saw the name of Ayscue (Eschew) in some circuit court papers after the death of James Stodgell, father of Shelton Stodgell. Shelton was establishing his relationship to James through the marriage of Dicey Ayscue (Eschew) in 1799. Dicey died soon after the birth of Shelton, and Shelton was taken by his maternal grandmother and remained with her until he was about eight years old. Is this information of any use to you?
