There is soo much on the Timberlake,Winston,Bowe,Littlepage families,etc,i would suggest anyone interested in these familes try to get or look at this book(Old Homes of Hanover)These families are very intertwined. The farm-South Wales was owned by Col.James Littlepage(b1714.James mar Sarah Winston-d/o Maj William Winston.James was s/o Richard Littlepage-a large landowner in what is now King William Co.Sarah is buried there(b-9-27-1733-d-4-5-1761).HHer children-John Carter>>JamesJr>>William>>Richard and Frances.Col. Littlepages second wife was Elizabeth Lewis.They had Lewis Littlepage .He was 4 when his father died and Elizabeth moved back to her home "Belle Aire" in Spotslyvania Co.South Wales was then bought by Charles Carter.The property has been sold back and forth in the Carter,Winston families who inter married.It has been restored by Dr.Hill Carter Rutland Farm-home of the Timberlakes since 1780.Archibald Burnett Timberlake was first owner.He mar Emily Rush Bowe-d/o Nathenaiel Bowe.Their sons-Daniel Algernon(b1833) and John Henry served in civilwar.John Henry mar Etta Gertrude Bowe d/o Nathaniel Bowe Jr. and Mary Etta Crenshaw(who died of Yellow fever)Nat Jr moved back to Rutland and later mar sister inlaw-Elizabeth Crenshaw.
