As moderator, I have found the list more or less runs itself. Members are polite and serious about genealogy. I choose not to disallow a rare post that is off-topic. Quite frankly, because 99.99% of the posts are relvant. I am not a censor, just a moderator. This is a forum for the exchange of information. It would do no good to exchange info off-line I would also suggest that any concerns be expressed privately bewteen members and if the list mode is generating too much email a switch to the digest mode might be in order.
