    1. [VAHANOVE] Update on Hanover County cemeteries (Pebble Creek)
    2. Hello all--- In order to be respectful to those subscribers who are not interested in this particular incident, if any of you are interested in the most recent events concerning the Pebble Creek Subdivision/cemeteries I want to offer the following: 1. You may contact me privately at [email protected] 2. You may visit http://www.savinggraves.com/usa/va/pebblecreek/index.html 3. You may visit the two local newspapers websites at: www.mechlocal.com or www.herald-progress.com If anyone on this list IS directly related to the following, PLEASE get in touch with me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. In the Hanover County Clerk's Office you can find the reference to the cemeteries at PebbleCreek. The land was transferred by deed, recorded April 24,1866 in Deed Book 1, page 160, from Ed. G. Sydnor to F. W. Johnson. The tract of land consisted of 429 acres and in the deed 1 acre was set aside for cemeteries. Also the parcel was called Dungarvon in the deed. Oscar Via, Sr. obtained the land called Dungarvon by a deed recorded Nov. 11, 1918, from Rebecca Pate, Deed Book 67, page 49, and consisting of 239 1/2 acres. Thanks to those of you who have written privately w/the great support! It is much appreciated! Sheri Millikin Hanover, VA
