re: Sheri's post regarding the Hanover County Deeds and Pebblecreek Deed recorded 11 November 1918 Deed Book 67, page 49 239 1/2 acres from Rachel PATE to Oscar Via Sr. (parcel called Dungarven) I have seen references to : Mss1B7332b, Benjamin Brand Papers, 1779-1863, Hanover County and Richmond, Virginia among the holdings of the Virginia Historical Society citing : Section 32 consists of six items, a bond, 1788, of Thomas Goodfellow and Andrew Mitchel to Hardin Burnley (bears revenue stamp); an agreement, 1808, of William Brockenbrough and William Cochran (concerning Nicholas Syme); a notice, 1820, of John Pate (concerning the estate of John Gaulding); and lines of verse. Does anyone have knowledge of the relationship of John Pate & John Gaulding? I can get my Gauldings back to Carter W (b. ca 1798, d. 1840-1850) Anything before that is speculation and the resources are few. Thanks Lyn
