I have General William Hardin born abt. 1747 in VA. married 09 July 1808 and he died July22, 1821 in Mcquady, KY. Father was Major John Hardin and his mother was Catherine Marr. He was married twice. Once to Winifred Holtzclaw and second to Susannah McGee born abt. 1747. I have no children listed for this couple. Gen. Hardin was quite famous in his time and was the founder of Hardinsburg. Marty or anyone I have a John Hardin Foster born about 1755 . I believe that he was born in the Essex,Hanover or Albamarle area of Virginia his brother in law was David Meriwether, his friend whom he served in the revolutionary war with was Ballard Smith. He married Martha Wingfield daughter of John Wingfield. If anyone has any information on John Hardin Foster I would appreciate it.
