For some time the researchers for HENSLEE have bottomed out with the last known HENSLEE. His name was Maxfield or Macksfield HENSLEE, born about 1725 +/- in or around Hanover County Virginia. Callis with his personal tax it appearing to the court that he is an officer with Continental Line. Comment: If the subscriber can got a copy of the original court order (from film, of course), a lineage society would probably accept this court order as proof of service of Wm. Virginia, Thank you for the info on Nancy Bowe. The Nancy I have was supposedly born Bet. 1781-1783 & died Nov. 27, 1865 & was married to Charles Tyler. Don't know if that is the same one or not unless she remarried after Charles passed away in 1853. Yes, Chapman Timberlake is in my line and was married to Letitia Browning. I have a total of nine children for them, including Chapman Jr. b.1843 The other Timberlake is Mary Ann Elizabeth Timberlake b.1816 d.Aug 4, 1889 who married John Pettus Tyler (they are my gr-gr-grandparents) b.1815 d. Sheri, Found a Nancy (Bowe) Yarborough, wife of Jesse, d/o Nathaniel, Sr. & Susanna (?) Bowe. Oops! I made a mistake. Emily Rushbrok Bowe was the d/o of Hector, but Emily R. (Bowe) Timberlake was the d/o Nathaniel, Sr. & Susanna (?) Bowe, and a sister of Nancy's. Was it you that was looking for Chapman Timberlake? He married Letitia (?) and there was a Chapman, Jr. There's a Mary Timberlake, wife in 1855 of John P. Tyler. Ernest, After looking at another book, "Some Wills From the Burned Counties of Virginia" by William Lindsay Hopkins, I found some info on the Littlepages and the Winstons. Listed under Hanover County-- James Littlepage Hanover-St.Paul 25 Oct 1766/4 Dec 1766 Land which I have bargained for with Francis Jordan of Louisa County. Children by my first wife (not named). Exors: Peter Randolph, Esq., William Bird, Esq., John Lewis of Spotsylvania, Thomas Doswell and Geddas Winston. Wit: Duncan Graham, Thomas Doswell, Samuel Overton. (Included with this copy of the will is the information that Col. James Littlepage married (1) Sarah Winston, daughter of Maj. William Winston and his wife Rebecca Winston. They had viz John Carter Littlepage, James Littlepage, William Littlepage, Richard Littlepage, and Frances Arnett Littlepage. Col. James Littlepage married (2) Elizabeth Lewis, daughter of Zachariah Lewis of Spotsylvania and they had viz General Lewis Littlepage and Mary Littlepage who married Robert S. Coleman of Spotsylvania.
