Bates, Fleming then married a widow Catherine Talbot who had five children, Susan Ann Talbot, Nathaniel Talbot, Abel Talbot, Cain Talbot, Frances Talbot, these children changed their last name from Talbot to Bates, then Fleming and Catherine had a son named James Flournoy Bates. I am trying to find out who Fleming's first wife was and who Catherine Talbot's first husband ? Talbot was. I need Catherine's maiden name. Catherine's ex-mother-in-law lived with her for awhile, her name was Sallie, it was stated that she was from the Bates Shelton line. Hope someone can help me sort this out.
