The 1850 Census of Halifax Va. Dwelling #572 list: Thomas Faulkner 61 Frances 50 Obadiah 16 Thomas 13 I have not found Thomas, Frances or Obadiah in the 1860 Census in Va. or N.C., (If anyone has any information on where they were, it would be appreciated.) On the 5th December 1862 Obadiah Faulkner married Nannie Finch Hughes. Nannie was the daughter of Charles & Judy Hughes. The 1870 Census of Halifax Va. Dwelling #404 list: Obediah Faulkner 33 Nannie 31 Hallie 6 Martha 4 Charles 2 Nannie 8mths The 1880 Census of Halifax Va. Dwelling #152 list: Oby Faulkner 45 Nanny H 39 Hallie J 16 Martha H 14 Charly 12 Anna 10 James 7 John 4 Malissa 3 Rosa 1 At least one daughter, Sue Willie was born after 1880. Obadiah was died by April of 1894. James Thomas Faulkner, son of Obediah Faulkner and Nannie Finch Hughes was born Jan. 8, 1872 in Halifax Co. Va. and died Jan. 11, 1942 in Person Co. NC. He married Nannie Green Long who was the daughter of Henry C. Long and Nancy Reaves. Henry C. Long was born in Person Co. NC to Jesse M. Long and Tabitha G. Saunders.
