Barnard (born circa 1765) married Mary (Molly/Polly) Carr, daughter of John Carr, in 1787 in Halifax Co. They had three children: Elizabeth (Farmer) Scurlock, Mary (Farmer) Reeves, and John F. Farmer (born 1799). John F. married Elizabeth Martin in 1823 in Halifax Co. There are definite connections with this family and the Glass & Priddy families. I believe that a Frederick Farmer from Halifax is Barnard's father. Barnard moved to Stokes Co., NC around 1826. John F. moved to Weakley Co., TN around 1838.
