Luke, Jr.'s will p Sep 1757, Halifax Co., VA Luke, Sr.'s will p March 1758, Halifax Co., VA. Obediah Smith, son of Peartree Smith, was the grandson of Obadiah Smith (d 1777, Chesterfield Co., VA). Obadiah of Chesterfield Co. was the son of Luke Smith, Sr. Luke Smith, Sr. was not the son of Obadiah Smith of Henrico Co., VA. They were probably brothers. Abstract of Alexander Roberts' will (Elliott's EARLY WILLS 1765-1799 MECKLENBURG CO., VIRGINIA) only mentions Mary Magdalene Rollings [sic], Sarah Roberts,Pattsherm Stephens & Hannah Wright as daughters.
