Hi, Larry! I have been hoping for some time to run across a descendant of a Younger slave. I am not a descendant of Joel, but I am a descendant of Thomas, William, and Williamson, who were related to Joel in Halifax county. I believe that Joel was the son (?) of John, who was a brother to one of my g grandparents. It's early in the morning and I haven't my records in front of me. I have much information to share with you regarding all the slaves of my ancestors and particularly my gg grandfather, Williamson Younger's comments about slavery that he wrote in his diary.
