This information on Jones is of interest to me. I have been searching for the parents of Stephen, Robert, and Richard Jones. Stephen, born 1801, and his brothers are believed to have been raised in the Aaron's Creek community in Halifax County. Stephen's wife was Nancye Annie Griffin of Mecklenberg Co, VA. She was the daughter of Elijah Griffin and Mary Gold. Stephen and Richard moved from the area to Tennessee around 1835. Stephen is my gg grandfather. Robert wound up in Granville Co, NC. There could have been other siblings, but I'm not sure. I wonder if Robert Jones and daughters are connected to my line of Jones. Thanks for this information.
