William Bruner Griffin married Susanna Wilkins in 1825 in Halifax County VA. After the birth of two sons in VA, they moved to GA where several other children were born. They moved on to Talladega County AL where they lived out their lives. William and Susanna are our brick walls on the Griffin and Wilkins lines we are researching. We believe their parents to have been in Halifax prior to the marriage of William & Susanna. We also believe one of William's ancestors was a Bruner. It is possible that his father was John Griffin as his first born son was name John. It has been suggested that Susanna's father was Thomas Wilkins since a Thomas Wilkins signed the marriage surety bond. If you have info or a connection, we would love to hear from you.
