Who were the parents and siblings of Banister Moorefield b.- abt 1804, d.- May 1850 in Halifax co., Va of Pleurisy? He married Susan Martha Comer on 28 Jun 1824. One of their sons was named Mastin A. Moorefield, and for this reason a guess is that he may be the son of Marstin/Mastin Moorefield who married Wilmuth Stokes on 21 May 1804 in Halifax Co.,Va. The 1820 Halifax Census has Wilmoth Moorefield as head of a household with several children (three male sons one of whom could be Banister Moorefield). The same census list another family close by headed by Letty Comer. Susan Martha Comer was the daughter of Moore (Moses) Comer and his wife Letty Cole (Comer). Records show that both Marstin/Mastin Moorefield and Moore (Moses) Comer were dead around 1815. Would like to find the children's names of Marstin/Mastin Moorefield and his wife Wilmoth.
