Va., criteria 1790s. Will for Thomas Gunn found in Person Co., N. C. (Next County) mentions wife and children, son, Gabriel and brother Daniel Gunn and brother is executor. Mentions Father's estate. Key factor is that he mentions 127 acres in Halifax Co. Va. on the waters of Childres Creek, which I believe may be Childry Creek according to an 1859 map.
