This James Hill was, on 21 October 1756, appointed surveyor of the road from the Cow Ford on Banister River to Blands Road leading to Wades Ferry. Edward Powell{Tuck}, Robert Wooding, George Brown, and Daniel Dean were among the male labouring tithes rdered to work on that road.
