Can anyone tell me whether Halifax County VA marriage certificates about 1825 contain the names of parents of the bride and groom? Betty G

Betty some of the records do show a consent if bride under age etc.. If she was of age it sometimes says she signed her own consent. If you will send me your name I will look up the mar. I have Chiarito & Prendergast's MARRIAGES OF HALIFAX COUNTY, VIRGINIA 1801-1831. pub. 1985 Example: 11 Jun 1825. Andrew Torian, Jr. & Elizabeth Finch, who signed her own consent. Sur. & witness: Thomas Owen. md 15 Jun 1825 [sic] ( I never found her parents. They migrated to Christian Co., KY. Thomas Owen was probably Robertson Owen's son. Andrew was the son of Andrew Torian & Anna Blackwell.) 5 Apr 1825. Charles Torian & Martha C. Torian who signs her own consent. Sur: Paul Street. Wit. Paul Street & William Street. m 5 Apr 1825. (Martha C. Torian was nee Wall. She had mar. (1) William Torian. No record of her mar. to William Torian has been found.) 22 Sep 1801. George Torian & Patsey Palmer, dau. of Edw. Palmer who consents. Sur & wit. Abner Boyd. m 24 Sep 1801. (This is my line. I have a copy of this record. It included Edward Palmer's consent. Abner Boyd was Palmer's soninlaw. Palmer,Boyd & George Torian migrated to Christian Co., KY.) 13 Jun 1803. Jacob Torian & Polly Owen, dau. of Robertson Owen, who consents. Sur & wit. John G. Boyd. m 14 Jul [sic] by Rev. Leonard Baker. (Jacob was George Torian's brother. Jacob migrated to Christian Co., KY) 25 Dec 1825. Jacob Torian & Elizabeth Gresham who signs her own consent. Sur & wit. John G. Boyd. m 28 Dec 1825. (Jacob was the son of Andrew Torian & Anna Blackwell. Jacob migrated to Christian Co., KY.) 16 Dec 1802. Scare Torian, Jr. & Nancy R. Owen. Robertson Owen consents.
