Peggy, it is so interesting that so many from Halifax moved to Christian Co., KY in very early 1800's. We do research on the TALLEY name in Halifax, and Nathaniel Talley and his wife Sarah, sold out in early 1800 and moved to Christian Co., KY. Actually they moved into Cumberland Co. first then after he died in 1816 or so, she moved over into Christian Co. Land must have opened there around this date. If you have ever been to Christian County, it seems to be soooooo poor. We visited there in 1990 and were struck by the visible poverty. Didn't find any land records for Nathaniel there, but they do have GOOD records. Anna
