Va (Virgilina) and were members of Aaron's Creek Baptist Church until they removed to Roxboro, (Person County) NC where he started the first Iron Foundry there in Roxboro. They have a beautiful home place on Chubb Lake Road in Roxboro. It is now owned by a retired military couple who are putting stone crosses on the slave graves. Jane Lockett was sister to my Eliza J. Lockett who marred William Buxton Williams 1831 Mecklenburg Co. VA.

    3. For earliest information on the Talley surname, recommend you check the records of Amelia Co., Va. which is where some of the original Talleys were located. Keep in mind, though, that before it was Amelia Co., Va., it was a part of Prince George Co., Va.
